A message from the PTO Executive Board:

To: TMS Students and Families,

From: TMS PTO Executive Committee

As we wind down the school year and our two year term, we would like to take a moment to reflect on our accomplishments and gifts we were able to provide TMS students and Teachers.  These gifts would not have been possible without you supporting the various PTO fundraisers, signing up for company match donation programs or “UNFundraiser” donations.

Here are just a few gifts your generous donations provided to our students:

·         3-D Printer – This was a student lead activity where the PTO donated funds to create a 3-D printer for all students to use.  This is just a start in the “Maker Space”

·         2 carts of Chrome books

·         6th Grade Assembly – Percy and the Lightning Thief production was brought to TMS for all 6th graders to enjoy

·         New books for Library

·         Student Magazine to support Reading Program

·         Student & Lunch Assistance

·         Teacher Reimbursement for Classroom Supplies not covered by budget

·         Sponsored the FUN RUN fundraiser to support the purchase of new gym equipment.

·         Core Curriculum Gifts to Math, Science and World Languages programs

·         SBAC Snack for students on the day of testing

·         Dances for our students

Again, these gifts would not have been possible without your support.  Have a great summer.  Thank you again, Jackie Kolb, Barbara Busch, Cheryl Nicholas, & Pam Petoskey

(Term 2014-2016)

Tomorrow we hold Career Day at TMS.  This bi-annual event is the culmination of months of hard work by our Guidance Department.  More than 80 parents and community members will come to TMS to share their careers with our students. Students will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from Construction Technology, Information Technology, Health and Bioscience, Government and Human Services, Arts and Media, Business and Finance, Volunteers and more.  The students and staff of TMS recognize the sacrifices made by these presenters as they give up a day of work to spend time with us, and we truly appreciate it.
The day is very exciting for our students as they get a new perspective about how what they learn can be used in real life; sometimes the connection to the path they will follow is made.  Ask your child to share what careers they explored and how they feel about what path they might like to follow.
